The craziest rumors about celebrity disappearances

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009 from cardiac arrest due to a drug overdose.

Michael Jackson’s doctor, Conrad Murray, has been charged with manslaughter for administering the narcotic that caused his death to the King of Pop. He was sentenced to 4 years in prison in November 2011 but was released two years later due to prison overcrowding.

Barely a few weeks after his disappearance, rumors were circulating: Michael Jackson isn’t really dead.

In fact, fans who are convinced their idol is still alive think that he himself orchestrated the scenario of his disappearance to make a movie out of it! A report was even devoted to this somewhat eccentric hypothesis. The singer would have staged his death to offer his fans an innovative, one-of-a-kind film. According to this hypothesis, from the 911 call to the star’s indisposition to the funeral, everything was just comedy.

According to some, the singer even came to his funeral! In the video of his funeral, we actually see a stranger wearing a hat, which draws fans’ attention. According to them, it could have been Michael Jackson who would have dressed up.

Claude Francois

Claude François died accidentally on March 11, 1978 in Paris at the age of 39. The singer was electrocuted in his bathtub while trying to straighten a wall lamp or, depending on the version, change a lightbulb.

Among the rumors is the suicide thesis. Some believe that the accident was not a single one, but that the star would have decided to end his life.

Others claim that Claude François was murdered. A possibility supported by the assassination attempt to which he fell in June 1977. Several shots were then fired at him while he was in the car. He escaped unharmed, but his car had numerous bullet holes.

In addition, the versions about the circumstances of the death of Claude François raise suspicions. In fact, it’s impossible to really know if he died trying to fix a sconce, change a lightbulb, or use a hair dryer!

Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe died of a barbiturate overdose on the night of August 4-5, 1962. The 36-year-old actress and singer was found dead in her bed on the morning of August 5, 1962. According to the official version, it was a suicide.

The death of Marilyn, the lover of President JF Kennedy, has sparked many rumors, the most widespread being that of an assassination attempt. American writer Norman Mailer defended the thesis of a CIA-FBI conspiracy that would have made Marilyn the first victim in a series of political assassinations, along with the Kennedys, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King.

Similarly, Donald Spoto, a biographer who has written about Marilyn Monroe, claims that the latter was the victim of a medical error. She would have had an enema with chloral hydrate (a sedative) while taking Nembutal, a sleeping pill. The mixture of the two substances would have been fatal to him.

Other rumors claim that she is still alive! After her fake suicide, sponsored by the American intelligence services, fearing the idea that she would reveal state secrets entrusted to her by John Kennedy, they forced her into exile in Argentina, where she will live to this day. .

colouche

Coluche died in a motorcycle accident on June 16, 1986. He crashed into a truck while driving on a road in southern France to drive from Cannes to the village of Opio.

A recurring hypothesis in the sudden and untimely death of a celebrity is an assassination attempt. In the case of Coluche, it was even the subject of a book: coluche, the accident, written by two journalists, Jean Depusse and Antoine Casubolo, who investigated his death.

It seems that several elements, including the truck that would have deviated from its route at the last moment, the speed at which Coluche was driving and which would have allowed him to brake in time, cast doubt on the thesis of the accident.

Jim Morrison

The American rocker died in Paris on July 3, 1971, aged just 27. His body was found in the bathtub of his home on rue Beautreillis. He would have died of a heart attack.

Alleged witnesses, including the former manager of what was then a trendy bar, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus, claim that Jim Morrison died of a heroin overdose in the bar’s bathrooms. The witnesses were afraid of the scandal and transported the body to his home.

Others believe that Jim Morrison, like Jimi Hendrix or Janis Joplin, was murdered by the American secret services because he was considered a nuisance.

Finally, the early death of the artist, as in the case of Elvis and Lady Di, led to the proposed death hypothesis.
