Netflix: what are the next series inspired by video games?

Netflix is ​​more interested than ever in the world of video games. The streaming platform is preparing two series based around the universe of Far Cry, Splinter Cell and Cuphead.

This series was meant to follow the adventures of the hero Sam Fisher, a former US Navy SEAL commando turned elite operative of NSA’s Echelon 2. The character is an expert at stealth movement and infiltration, and must sneak into shadowy areas in games to complete assigned objectives.

The series is expected to honor these types of sequences while undoubtedly adding new depth to the storyline. The latter is written by Derek Kolstad.

Released in 2017 on PC and Xbox One, Cuphead follows the adventures of two muggles who decide to go to the casino. After playing dice with the devil, they lose their souls. To regain them, they must collect those from different bosses.

The game is inspired by retro cartoons and Walt Disney productions in particular. At the moment, Netflix hasn’t given a release date, merely announcing that it will arrive soon. So patience will be required.
